About your teacher
Hello, I am Ritu. I teach yoga because it changed my life, and I want it to change yours.

My journey to the mat
My yoga journey did not begin in a studio. It began during a period of overwhelming stress — the kind that makes your body ache and your mind race even at 3 AM. A friend suggested I try a yoga class. I resisted for months. When I finally went, something shifted.
It was not the poses that changed me — it was the breath. Learning to slow down, to feel my body without judging it, to be still when everything inside me wanted to run. That first Savasana, I cried. Not from sadness, but from the relief of finally being present.
I trained formally because I wanted to share this with others — not the Instagram version of yoga with perfect handstands, but the real version: the shaking legs in Warrior II, the wandering mind in meditation, the small victories that happen when you show up consistently.
Today, I teach live online classes because I believe the personal connection between teacher and student is what makes yoga transformative. In a pre-recorded video, no one notices if your knee is misaligned or if you are holding tension in your jaw. In my class, I do.

Teaching philosophy
The principles that guide every class I teach.
Practice, not perfection
Yoga is not about touching your toes. It is about what you learn on the way down. Every body is a yoga body.
Personal, not prescriptive
No two students are the same. I modify, adapt, and meet you exactly where you are today — not where Instagram says you should be.
Consistency over intensity
A gentle 20-minute daily practice transforms more than an occasional 90-minute power session. I help you build habits that last.
Whole-person wellness
Asana is just one limb. Breathwork, mindfulness, and self-compassion are woven into every session because real wellness goes beyond the mat.
